I’m in the wrong business. Hell, we all are. Health Care for America NOW recently reported, “profits at 10 of the country’s largest publicly-traded health insurance companies in 2007, rose 428 percent from 2000 to 2007, from $2.4 billion to $12.9 billion.” The simple question is why are premiums going up so hard and fast while the profits seem to be so high? I mean unless we’re getting robbed… We’re not getting robbed are we? I for many years used United HealthCare, one of the aforementioned companies, to fill my health insurance needs. Imagine my dismay when I couldn’t get a prescription approved on the same day that the company paid their CEO 1.1 Billion dollars to go away.

I’m so done with this debate about health care that could puke. I would too, but I’m afraid to because I haven’t looked to see what a doctor’s visit will run me this year. That’s right I haven’t been to the doctor this year. Why? I think you know why.
